Biography: David M. Rosenberg-Wohl

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:  David graduated from Harvard College (B.A. Classics, 1983) and Harvard Law School (J.D., 1986).  In addition to the California Bar, he is a member of the bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and D.C. Circuits, and all U.S. District Courts in California.  He is a member of the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys (CSHA), a member of the Health Law Section and the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association (ABA), and a member of the Trial Practice Section of the Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA).

David practiced law as an associate at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen, as a member of the board of directors of Lasky, Haas & Cohler, P.C., and as a founding partner of Business Litigation Counsel, LLP.  He joined Marion’s Inn in 2010 and became a partner on January 1, 2011.

PRACTICE AREAS:  David has extensive experience in business litigation.  His practice has emphasized the administrative, legislative and common law contours of health care practice, the trade secret and antitrust aspects of unfair competition, the enforcement of contracts and arbitration provisions, the fiduciary duties owed by individuals and firms to each other, real estate litigation and environmental law.

PUBLICATIONS & PRESENTATIONS:  David has written on legislative developments for the Harvard Journal on Legislation and has published in both the San Francisco Daily Journal and in the Los Angeles Daily Journal on the enforcement of arbitration agreements.  He has taught at the University of California, Berkeley, and at the Graduate Theological Union.  He served as Curator of the exhibition, Il Ghetto: Forging Italian Jewish Identities 1516-1870, at San Francisco’s Museo ItaloAmericano in 2008-09, a project that involved publications, public presentations and television interviews. 

INTERESTS:  In addition to hiking with his family at San Francisco’s Crissy Field, in Point Reyes and in Yosemite National Park, David immerses himself in Renaissance and Reformation history and is familiar with Latin, Greek and Hebrew.
